Hi all! The time has come for me to leave this beautiful country. :( And I am starting to look into international moving companies. I will not be moving a huge household, as I am trying to downsize quite significantly before leaving, but I will still have a number of personal belongings that I would like to ship rather than take with me on the flight. I would love to hear from anyone who has done a similar long distance/international move from Switzerland, particularly to Southeast Asia. Which moving or relocation companies did you use, and would you recommend them? I would also be interested to hear about: • Approximate costs and how much you shipped • Door to door service versus other shipping options • How long the shipment took • Customs/import handling at the destination • Any companies you would specifically recommend or avoid • Anything you wish you had known before arranging the move I am based in the French speaking part of Switzerland, in case that makes a difference for recommendations.
