Ok I’m 18, 5’ 9" ISH and 115 lbs rn (although I just got over a bad stomach bug, last week I was 125) I’ve been working out 5 days/week roughly 1 hr a day for 4 months, all weight training with proper form etc. been doing leg, arm, chest day split and target lower reps like 5-15 to avoid unnecessary cardio. I can currently bench 135 for 5 reps which is away more than my maximum in May which was 5x90 I’m doing protein shakes, protein bars, creatine, and been just trying to eat more overall. Avocados, ground beef, etc is what I eat and try to eat more of. I always get about exactly 6 hours of sleep. I grt into bed at 8.40 on gym days and set the alarm for 6 hours and 20 minutes later so I have time to snooze off. My phone is not in my bedroom and all lights are off. I weighed about 120 8 months ago and my maximum that I’ve weighed in at since is 126~127 (I bounce around between like 4 scales but they’re all kinda consistent. Questions: why is it that I still can’t gain weight, even though I’ve been doing this routine for 4 months without breaks? How can I improve it? because I feel like it’s making me better mentally and stronger physically but I’m just not seeing much improvement in the scale… submitted by /u/StrategicSpanishFrog
