I’ve been playing OSRS on and off since I was about 15. I’m 34 now, and obviously life looks a lot different than it did back then. I work 40–50 hours a week, I’m married, and both of my parents are in nursing homes, so I spend a lot of time looking out for them. There’s just way too much going on in my life to sit down at my PC for hours every day. Usually, I only get an hour or two every couple of days where I can actually sit at my computer and play. That’s when I’ll quest, boss, or AFK train while I’m playing Xbox. But man, skilling and progressing my account would feel so daunting if PC was my only option. Mobile has been an absolute game changer for me. Being able to knock out some skilling on my break at work, do some motherlode or forestry while chilling on the couch watching TV, or just squeeze in 15–20 minutes here and there makes such a huge difference. Maybe I’m just spoiled because mobile exists now, but I genuinely don’t know if I’d make any meaningful progress without it. It’s kind of funny because when I was younger, I could dump ridiculous amounts of time into RuneScape without even thinking about it. Now I have way more responsibilities and way less free time, but mobile lets OSRS still fit into my life. And I’m having an absolute blast. Anyone else feel like mobile is basically the reason they’re still able to play OSRS as an adult? submitted by /u/yourfavoritepenguin7
