My RAV instructor was extremely kind as I finished my PhD a couple of months ago. Gave me a lot of support, helped me with documentation etc. I’m from the UK where it’s okay to gift something SMALL to those who have helped you, but I’m unsure on the ethics of giving something to a government official.
