I’m 40, and several times a day my mind drifts back to moments where I did something stupid when I was younger or early in my career. Stupid things I said, people I let down, times I was sure I knew better and ended up with egg on my face. None of it is serious, just the usual daft stuff people do growing up (maybe slightly dafter than average). But it’s exhausting and pretty discouraging. When one of these flashbacks hits, I can spend twenty minutes talking myself down and trying to get my head off that track. Is this normal? Do others get this, and if you got past it, what helped? submitted by /u/alt4hidingmathshame
