Men or anyone, can you tell me how to identify if a man is being fake or performatively nice in general. For example, with women, I’ve noticed that some women try to be extra nice to men because they want validation or attention. Sometimes, they even put other women down or gossip about them to make a point that they’re “different from other women.” But when they’re around a group of women, their behavior can be completely different—they may act rude, dismissive, or show a lot of attitude. So I’m trying to understand the male version of this. And if this particular version of men doesn’t exist, then how do you identify a man who constantly slurs, mocks, or puts down people(mainly women) in his own friend group, but still tries to project himself as a decent, respectful, or “gentleman” type of person? Basically, how do you distinguish between a genuinely decent man and someone who has simply built a decent-man image for himself? Am asking for tiny significant details not generic signs like even men cant identify them sometimes those kind of signs. submitted by /u/Daebom
