I’ve been thinking about this based on my own experience. Sometimes the fear of accidentally getting someone pregnant makes me hesitate. Not only about sex, but occasionally about making a move at all. Obviously condoms and birth control lower the risk, but it still doesn’t feel entirely under my control, and the consequences could be huge. It made me wonder if other guys feel this way but don’t really talk about it. Could it play some small role in men pulling back from dating or feeling lonely? I’m not saying this explains male loneliness. Maybe it’s mostly my own anxiety. I’m genuinely curious. Has pregnancy risk ever changed what you did? Did it affect dating, or only sex? Did contraception make you feel secure enough? If this isn’t a concern for you, what holds you back more? submitted by /u/MarioKartWiiGoat
