Hi! I am coming from a Research & Develop environment (that means mostly experimentation and some code integrations), having basic coding skills in Python and C. I am evaluating an offer for Senior Software Engineer from Red Hat. It’s my first time to consider working as a pure software engineer, and I have some doubts as soon as I start looking at the large codebases of these Open-Source projects. Do you believe CC can help me solve most of these debug issues/tickets and feature development in an agile/fast environment? If CC didn’t exist, I probably couldn’t take this job since it would be my first job after PhD without heavy code exposure.
