Trying to make this as brief as possible. Ten years into marriage wife cuts off sex for four months then in a difficult conversation reveals that there was some inappropriate sexual things in her youth that made her feel like sex was dirty and evil. In our early dating life she had convinced herself that it was ok to feel Humiliated during sex (never clarifying this to me then) but then at some stage concluded that I am safe and she is in love and would prefer to not feel shame and as sex is shameful and stressful she will stop doing it. And she is so Stressed that she doesn’t have time to figure out how to convince herself that sex with me Is good and not evil so we will just not have sex. And no word on when she will have time to understand the next step. She will randomly want sex. But most of the time we aren’t together. What do I do with this? I feel rejected and ignored and like I’ve done something wrong but I haven’t done anything wrong. I feel deceived. And at the same time I want to continue being a safe place whilst she figures things out but that means sitting in my rejection. Is that odd? submitted by /u/Teamgirlymouth
