So I was thinking today about how people interact so nicely with my son, who is 6 and rather adorable and how one day he won’t be seen as a cute little kid anymore and what that change in how people treat him may feel like. Will it be gradual or will there be an incident that sticks out in particular? I worry about the impact on him if there is a sudden perceptible shift where people went from being nice to suddenly acting like he’s doing something wrong, and how we can best help him navigate it. submitted by /u/Zelfzuchtig
