None of that is going to happen, not even a little bit.
To the extent that the technology has facilitated any increases in productivity in my workplace, so far we have just been expected to do more. Everyone is running ragged trying to keep up with the pace. Leadership is thrilled because so much shit is getting done and i’ve heard them marvel at how the new tools are helping. I made a point in my just completed review cycle to articulate very clearly to leadership that the reason why we are so productive is because everyone is working their goddamn asses off and it has very little to do with the tech. They need to understand that this is unsustainable despite the koolaid they’ve been drinking.
