30 M here. I always wanted to have that married life, being the cool and fun parents that any children deserve. I used to build scenarios and good thinking around it. And obviously I did factor in the ups and downs, but I kinda wanted that. The journey to find a gf has been quite exhausting. IRL and online haven’t helped a bit. I’ve been told by my friends (both men and women) that I’m fun to be around and hold up good conversations. But nothing has worked out for me. I’m not sure whether it has something to do with my height or race(I’m an immigrant), or looks now. But anyways, the exhaustion had slowly kicked in and I’m at a point where I don’t want that anymore. I found comfort spending time and energy alone and all to myself. Plus all those cheater stories, dead bedroom stories ( I’m a HL guy) kinda helps with the reasoning of not wanting a marriage. I want to know whether this is common or not? submitted by /u/AlligatorMarty
