I am 27, I moved from my home state for work, and frankly I hated my home state. I work as Amazon delivery driver, so I have co workers, but I see them in passing at the station and then I’m alone for 10 hours a day. My wife has changed jobs so she’s also having a hard time with this. We are both very reserved and “just meeting people at the bar” is very uncomfortable and awkward. Most of our old friends from her past job have started to show their true colors more and more so our pool of friends from that past job is shrinking. I don’t know how to make friends and I don’t know how to meet new people outside of a school or sport setting, which is gone now. I haven’t had my own friends in a long time and I am starting to realize most of my friends the past years have been piggybacked from my wife and her old job. Looking for advice on how to be more outgoing and make friends in the places I am already in and to go to places where making friends is easier. submitted by /u/throwaway5274917
