TLDR: dad want new friend, dad old friend drink much Was watching Get Out last night and it stuck with me that having a real friend can be a lifesaver. For context: I recently moved to a new state after my son was born to get away from an increasingly detrimental life, and my wife had always wanted to return home at some point after the job she moved for went belly up. Even if my boys weren’t 400 miles away now, the Peter Pan syndrome was starting to get old, especially since they were also dads now. My question is how the hell are you all finding friends after parenthood? Gaming is too damn expensive now, and I’ve tried going to book clubs, beer league sports, etc. and the only guys who actually want to socialize and aren’t douchebags are literal grandpas. Even my neighbors are all in their 60s+. Which is fine for surface level chats, but I’d like to have a friend who doesn’t have kids older than me, y’know? submitted by /u/Eawall04
