So my gf just recently started this in the last few weeks. She won’t let me say a word until she finishes an entire monologue of a story. Mostly when we argue. I will say upfront, she’s hearing impaired and wears hearing aids. This isn’t the problem though. If I even try to jump in and let her know that she heard me wrong. She won’t let me and will get more mad. So I just let her finish her thought but by the time she’s done I kinda don’t feel like engaging anymore. She constantly interrupts me but I’m not allowed to point that out apparently. I let her know that this is not how an adult conversation works and our relationship is riding on our communication. Now she thinks I’m a massive asshole bc she is making it out to be me thinking she’s too dumb to hold a conversation. I’ll be honest, sometimes I think she may have some head trauma or something bc I’ve never experienced someone who talks like this but the thing is that it just started. I did not in any way say that last part to her. What can I even do or it it a lost cause? We’re caught in a loop for the past few weeks. I really like her but this seems too difficult.
