It’s no doubt that AI will change the movie scene drastically once it gets good enough to generate full length movies. I think live action will be safe (for a while at least), but animation is where it starts to become easier. People are going to use AI to make movies. And I don’t necessarily think that that is a bad thing. Think about how hard it is to make a movie. You have to be accepted by a studio, you have to find people to make the movie, you need to spend millions of dollars (there are some movies who have had lower budgets than that but it’s not easy). Most people can’t do this. It’s too risky, it’s too time consuming, it’s too difficult, people don’t have faith in them. But with AI, all of that goes away because with it all you will need to make a movie is a story. And there are a lot of good stories that people want to tell with a movie but they can’t because of all those drawbacks. I think (and you don’t have to agree with me) that when AI is good enough for it, we’ll see a lot of good movies come out. And I’m not saying that means movies will have 0 effort now. They still need to write the story, and that takes a lot of effort. Now am I particularly excited for this era of very advanced AI? Not really. I agree that a lot of people are going to use it for bad, they’ll lie about their usage of it, more “AI slop” will be made it’s going to be really annoying. I think there’s definitely more bad than good to AI advancement. But all I’m trying to say is that there is a bright side to this submitted by /u/Live_Help_1730
