Just in time for Raids 4, the Subreddit has gotten some new Post Flairs and a small rule change relating to Plugins. Post Flairs: Based on some requests and feedback, we have added three new Post Flairs. Info: This flair is for sharing information, such as discoveries, new methods, PSAs, and similar. These topics can overlap with discussion but felt unique enough to warrant its own flair. It is a darker blue than Discussion with an exclamation mark (!). Plugin/Tool: This flair is for Plugins, websites, spreadsheets, and similar tools. For a while, websites and spreadsheets didn’t clearly fit any of the flair categories. And with the recent influx of Plugins, it didn’t sit well having the most appropriate flair be the Creative Flair. So, this is being added to both better categorize these sorts of posts and to make it easier for users to filter them. It is red with a gear icon. :crab: : You know those posts where you just want to spam crabs? The “J Mods won’t reply to this” sorta stuff? That is what this flair is for. It is pretty much our version of a Complaint/Rant Flair. It is sandy tan with no text, just crabs. Alongside this, there have been some minor changes to existing flairs. The Question Flair is now lighter blue than Discussion and has a question mark (?) in the flair to help tell it apart. The HD Flair is also now available again and had its icon changed to the Lumbridge Landscape. These icons can be updated in the future as better options become available. If you see posts using the incorrect flair, please report it for “Incorrect Flair” or similar reasons. We will look to add this to the Report Reasons in the future to make this easier to report. User Flairs: We have been in the process of slowly updating the User Flairs to a new flairsheet on Old Reddit and working on better parity with New Reddit. During this process, there have been some smaller changes, like the Skill Icon Flairs on Old Reddit no longer having the borders and sizing changes. Most should end up looking the same as before, but this is still an ongoing process and if you notice any oddities or changes, this might be why. There also are a few new User Flairs. New League Flairs were added for Demonic Pacts (despite it looking nearly identical to Reloaded) and Grid Master icons. And after accidently replacing the Crab User Flair with the new Crab Post Flair icons, there is now a second Crab User Flair. [Note: If the icon for the Post Flair is updated, this flair will be changed to match.] Plugin Rules Update: Along with the Plugin/Tool flair, from now on only Plugins in a Plugin Hub may be posted. If you wish to share a WIP Plugin, it will need to be approved by a mod via Mod Mail before posting. Currently, this is noted in the Flair Guide , but we will look to work this into the Rules in a future update. Discussions of further rules revisions, such as change to the AI Rule, are still ongoing and yet to be decided. On a related note, in recent months we have received a lot of requests to whitelist various websites and tools. Generally, these have been denied since we don’t add any random websites to the whitelist, even if we may approve posts or comments with the links. We will look at adding better guidance for this, but websites will not be whitelisted unless they’ve gained enough community relevance. tl;dr: New Post flairs for Info, Plugin/Tool, and :crab:. Question Flair has an icon and new color. Only Plugins in a Plugin Hub may be posted without prior approval. submitted by /u/BioMasterZap
