The vibe coding era is perhaps the most anxiety, panic inducing time of my life. It is literally hell. The time to “make it” is closing faster and faster, and the only way to do this is to build something big, complex. You can’t make it big with one shot projects. A bunch of people haven’t even grasped the impending doom, a bunch is in hardware (and they are literally in the cusp of entering this hellish phase as AI hardware abilities leap) and the rest are just as stressed. You cannot code manually any more. I have 3 codex accounts and 2 anthro, all on max. They all consistently get maxed out the day after a reset. I am desperate for resets, when all is quiet and the usage is out it’s a state of unease and panic. When they come through it’s just panic, monitoring everything, trying to optimise efficiency and build faster and faster, so conscious of the time being wasted. There is no more careful planning, clever design, nothing. I don’t even know what is going on in my code base anymore, it is beyond convoluted and I have no time to try to analyse it. I only know that certain tests I set pass, and passing tests is good. It is just throwing usage into a harness and deploying agent after agent after agent. I wish this would all just stop and we could go back to how it was. No impending AGI, no time pressure, building with passion and creativity. The worst part is the waiting periods while agents are working. It is just pure unease and ennui and boredom, it doesn’t even feel like grinding, time wasted away doom scrolling until an urgent decision needs to be made and then it’s panic again. I think I have PTSD from that chime I set up, it spikes my heartbeat immediately. I hate this so much. submitted by /u/Impressive-Gene-421
