I realize my boyfriend (both 20s) takes on a proportionally greater load in our relationship than I do. He’s very self-assured, doesn’t need much emotional support from me (but I always give it if he needs it). He also makes significantly more than me, ~$1M/year, and I’m currently still in school for a profession that’ll ultimately pay close to what he’s making but won’t for another decade. Because of this, he pays for almost everything. I help clean his apartment, pay for small things here and there, travel for the relationship a lot (LDR), but I recognize he takes on more than I do. So far, he seems very happy to, and I know I enrich his life in a lot of other ways (same sense of humor, etc etc) but curious about other dynamics. Edit: we’re very happy. I was more curious about other people’s dynamics submitted by /u/Additional-Painter96
