I’m 23yo M, and I don’t know how is the correct way (if this exists) to end a male friendship. I stepped away from an 8-year friendship that dated back to high school, because so many factors: compulsive lies, life comparisons, envy; confused conversations, vampire energy and avoidance of responsibility. Maybe it is considered ghosting, although I did it gradually; but even I were right to step away, it still leaves an unpleasant feeling of not having had a conclusion. It had been already 1 year and I removed him from all my medias. He is a good person who suffers from low self-esteem, but It’s unfair to have to listen his ventings, support and put up with bad behavior, at same time. Every people have problems. I’m not asking for advice regarding this specific situation, I’d like to know the male perspective, since the subreddits dedicated to it are predominantly female and woman handle with it in a different way. Thanks! And sorry for the bad english. submitted by /u/Gloomy_Switch_9368
