Look at the front page right now. The Fractured Archive drops. The aesthetic? Masterpiece. The atmosphere and encounter design? Peak OSRS. Orion? Instant classic boss. The community has near-universal consensus that the dev team delivered an absolute banger of a raid. And then there’s the Obligator. We spend months dreading powercreep, begging the devs for a niche utility mega-rare instead of another raw stat stick. We cry that “Ket Breaker” sounds awful and push the name change into an actual poll. The update drops. GnomeMonkey immediately burns 11b on it. Not even 48 hours later: front page is plastered with “I’m sorry I voted for Obligator”, “Obligator feels underwhelming for a mega”, and graphic design students already posting MS-paint proposals to fix the inventory sprite because the chain looks scuffed. The entire raid is getting universal praise across the board—except for the exact specific parts Reddit actively meddled with. We bullied Jagex into giving us exactly what we asked for, and now we’re holding an 11b cabbage while apologizing to each other in the comments. Never let this subreddit vote on a reward space ever again. submitted by /u/DogWith2Dads
