I’m building Glance, and it started from a problem I kept running into: an AI agent can produce something useful, but then that result disappears into a chat. If it’s a daily briefing, a to-do list, a changing metric, or a language learning prompt, I have to remember to go back and ask for it again. That made me wonder whether agents need a lightweight interface that stays available between conversations. A phone widget is one possible version: the agent prepares or updates something, and I can see it at a glance without opening the chat. The agent handles the changing content; the widget gives that content a place to live. I’m interested in this as a complement to chat, not a replacement for it. Chat is good for exploration and follow up, a persistent surface might be better for information you want to check repeatedly. I’ve been experimenting with this idea in Glance, but I’m more interested in the design question… what kinds of agent output are useful enough to deserve a persistent place on your phone, and what should stay in chat? submitted by /u/Dense-Map-406
