hi guys long story short i’ve been using claude specifically cowork for much of my daily work and tasks and i just recently got into code after getting free $100 cloud credits. i tested what it would be like to use code and i built a few personal apps just to help my day-to-day workflows. i should caveat this with: i watched a quick video that explained the difference between chat, cowork, and code, and the one-liner “code is to build tools that you wish you had” really was a eureka moment in my mind. i’d been scared of code because of the code element of it, not knowing any code. i thought it was going to be really difficult to use and understand but it turns out it’s just as simple as the rest of the llm world. my question is: i’ve built up so much project data and context in cowork for each of my tasks. i’m wondering if it’s worth shifting everything over to claude code, how i would do this, and why it would be beneficial. some things i’m noticing are that it can execute a lot of different things because it’s using terminal and shell commands. i’m still kind of figuring out and understanding all of this but any information or just pointers and notes on what i’ve said would be helpful. EDIT: after starting this thread, i’ve realised I’m already using Codex for many tasks that are non-code related. I just assumed these “work” sessions (this is what codex calls them), were the same as Cowork but now I realise it is the same as Claude Code. submitted by /u/C0smicChild
