I’m working on a small 2D pixel art game as a hobby project. I’m not a programmer, so I’ve been relying heavily on AI to write the code. Until yesterday, I was using ChatGPT Go directly, but after trying Codex, the difference in productivity was massive. I got more done in a short session than I expected. The downside? I ran out of usage in less than an hour on the Go plan. I’m curious about other people’s experiences using coding agents for hobby projects. How quickly do you typically hit your limits, and how much does your usage depend on the way you work with the agent? I’m realizing I’ll need to get better at managing context and breaking tasks into smaller chunks, but I’m trying to figure out what a realistic workflow looks like for someone who isn’t a professional developer. submitted by /u/LemonPaaay
