I hit my weekly $20 Claude Code limit, then my code broke at a client where I was using an outdated GPT model. I didn’t get any notifications, because It wasn’t my GPT account :/ There was no way I was paying for more usage. My limit resets in 15 hours, and then I can go back to being a vibe coder. 😂 Suddenly, I had to go old-school and fix things myself. I had to update the API calls, fix dependencies, run test cases, troubleshoot errors, and manually push the changes. For the first time in months, I actually had to use my brain instead of just typing “fix this” into an AI. Turns out, 20 years of software development experience is still worth something! I’ve officially become a vibe coder. I barely write code anymore. I just describe what I want, review what the AI spits out, and pretend I know what’s going on. But today, I had to roll up my sleeves and do actual software engineering. The scary part? If I had been a pure vibe coder with zero programming experience, I would have been completely screwed. Maybe software developers aren’t obsolete after all. Nah, they are. I just had to dust off 20 years of experience because my AI subscription ran out. submitted by /u/AfternoonSlow1555
