I’ll keep it honest because I’m tired of sugarcoating my situation. 6 months ago I got laid off. I’m 35, frontend engineer with real experience, and I have a family I want to provide for. Since then I’ve been trying everything: Launched an Amazon product (bible verses jar). Zero sales. No traffic. Didn’t understand the game at all. Learning English more seriously Trying to learn marketing Vibe coding small projects I’m sleeping at 2am every night — not because I’m lazy, because my brain won’t stop. I have the time. I have the skills. I just keep spreading myself across 5 directions and going nowhere in all of them. Here’s what I actually have: solid frontend experience, I can build things, and I’m getting faster with AI-assisted coding every week. Here’s what I don’t have: a clear path to making money with it. If you were me — real skills, limited runway, family depending on you — what would you actually focus on? Not motivation. Not “believe in yourself.” Actual moves. submitted by /u/Beautiful-Archer-103
