I used claude (and eventually claude code) to emulate a server to point to my own rig and tell the game my own computer is the server. I got thru every step and days of troubleshooting until I caved and gave Anthropic money to finish it up tonight. I don’t want to name the game but just know its a yearly sports franchise, and this particular game’s servers are shutting down soon. I’m not interested in multiplayer, and even if I was, there’s not enough activity to even do that. Claude code needed to clear one final handshake, and then the guardrail came down. I’m basically at an impasse because I have the house built, but the locksmith is dead, and I’m locked out of my house. submitted by /u/PhysicsHistorical720
