I run Claude Code and Codex on a few machines at home and a VPS. For a long time it was tmux over ssh, and I kept losing track of which session was working and which one was waiting for me to approve something. So I built pohunek. A small daemon runs on each machine and keeps sessions alive when I disconnect. It shows if each session is working, waiting for approval or idle. Every session can get its own git worktree, and the CLI has JSON output, so an agent can drive it too. That last part is what I use most now. I have one master session that starts and manages the other sessions through pohunek. When something needs macOS, my agent just runs it on my Mac. It works on Linux and macOS, and machines connect over NetBird or Tailscale. No cloud, no account. There’s a desktop app for Linux and Mac and a very early Android app that shows session state. How I used Claude Code: most of the coding, planning and review was done with Claude, some with Codex and other models. What I learned: I don’t need an agentic IDE or a complex GUI. The models are good enough now that what matters is setting up the project and tooling for agents, giving good input, and checking the output.
