The most interesting part is the evidence. They asked Claude to recreate the songs, and the complaint quotes Claude on its own output: “same structure, same hooks reused with light rewording… edging past ‘inspired by’ into reproducing the copyrighted song.” Anthropic says it disagrees and will defend the case.
