Hi everyone, This is a bit vulnerable to post, but I figured it’s worth trying. I’m visiting Zurich from March 12–20, and it will be my first time in Switzerland. I bought my ticket months ago because I’ve always dreamed of visiting — seeing the mountains, exploring the cities, and hopefully even skiing in the Swiss Alps one day (I’m a total beginner, but it’s truly a dream of mine to experience it at least once). Unfortunately, I recently had to pay my university tuition unexpectedly, and it completely wiped out the budget I had saved for accommodation. My flight is non-refundable, so I’m still coming — but now I’m trying to figure out how to make it work. I wanted to ask if anyone in Zurich might have a spare room, couch, or even just a small space where I could stay during those dates. In exchange, I would be more than happy to help with chores a few hours a day, cleaning, organizing, grocery runs, cooking, pet care, helping with errands — truly anything that would make your life easier while I’m there. I’m respectful, clean, and very mindful of other people’s space. Beyond a place to stay, I’d also love to meet people who enjoy outdoor activities — hiking, walking around the lake, exploring nearby towns, maybe even skiing if anyone is patient with a beginner 😅. I also love museums, cafés, bookstores, and just wandering through beautiful neighborhoods. I’m genuinely excited to experience Swiss culture and make new friends along the way. If anyone would be willing to help or even just meet up while I’m there, I would deeply appreciate it. I’m happy to share more about myself privately, verify my identity, or chat beforehand so you feel comfortable. Thank you so much for reading this — and even if hosting isn’t possible, I’d love recommendations for affordable options or tips on things I shouldn’t miss while in Zurich. Really hoping to connect 🤍 submitted by /u/Key-Cantaloupe5845
