I’m 28M and my partner is 28F. We’ve been together for 3 years now. I’ve moved in to her hometown when we we’re 1.5 years in. Which is 8-10 hours of bus driving away from mine and has been renting near their house. She has responsibilities with her family, like maintaining their house (no one is living their atm everyone is away and only she is left that’s why), paying school tuitions and allowances to her brothers. She and her big brother are sharing the expenses together. I believe she’s ready to settle down, but she can’t commit because of her responsibilities or is she just waiting for me to drop the question? I also want to settle down with her but I’m unsure if now is the right time? My plan was to wait for 2 of her younger brothers to finish, then I realized I can’t wait 4 years for that. I don’t want to stop her from supporting her family financially, I just want her to prioritize our relationship and maybe leave some for our future? Like we always adjust our schedules with her mother who she drives for every weekend and it’s exhausting her out when she should just be resting. She’s a freelancer but her weekdays are tiring than mine as she has no boundaries for work life balance. Could use some advice or maybe share your story.
