I’m on the $100/month Claude plan, and my weekly limit resets every Sunday at 9 AM. After just two days, I’ve already burned through 73% of my weekly usage, leaving only 27% for the rest of the week. Here are my stats: ● Monday: 146M tokens, 5h 9m active ● Tuesday: 1.515B tokens, 12h 10m active ● Total: 1.66B tokens across 17h 19m of active time ● Only 9.9M output tokens across both days ● 97–98% of tokens were cache reads, according to my breakdown A huge amount of usage came from coordinator sessions repeatedly re-reading hundreds of millions of tokens of context. Honestly, paying $100/month and potentially being unable to use Claude Code normally for most of the week after just two days feels ridiculous. I understand that agentic coding uses a lot of resources, but this seems excessive when so much of the token usage is cached context rather than new output. Is anyone else running into this? How is the $100 plan supposed to be practical for serious coding if nearly three-quarters of the weekly allowance can disappear in two days? Any ways to save tokens without cutting efficiency or quality?. submitted by /u/FaithlessnessFun2639
