So I’ve been working at the same practice for about 2 years. I resigned at the end of August, with my official last day being November 30. Since I resigned, my employer has basically started retaliating. He completely changed my schedule to hours that were really difficult/unworkable for me, kept putting me on late shifts, took away the company car, etc. I tried to keep working through it, but eventually it got to the point where I couldn’t anymore. Since September 29, I’ve been on sick leave with a doctor’s certificate, currently until November 13. Normally, I always receive my salary around the 25th–27th of the month . This month, however, nothing has arrived yet. All my colleagues have already received their salaries, so it seems like mine is being held back. I messaged my employer yesterday asking about the salary, but he hasn’t responded. I have rent, health insurance and other bills to pay, so obviously I’m getting worried. I’ve already contacted my Rechtsschutz, but I know it can take some time for them to respond. What would you guys do in this situation? Can an employer simply withhold your salary because you’re on sick leave, especially when there’s a Krankentaggeld insurance involved? submitted by /u/Chakib_BEN
