Microsoft planning to lay off 60000 folks. Many other companies offloading a lot more people every now and then. For someone like me working in tech for a long time now. It has been truly stressing me out. It seems like we are inventing problems and challenges in tech and product which has no tangible benefits or even need. Its like a perpetual scope-creep-rabbit-hole. Earlier i worked 8-9 hours, now I am working atleast 12 hours daily. I am constantly on Linkedin and Reddit and other places, reading about technology changes, job losses, new frontiers models, useless startups and products coming up. The point of AI was to help humans lead a easy life, I guess. Have we lost the narrative? Am I overthinking? submitted by /u/klick02
