I’m seeing some streamers advocate for hard mode requiring all rooms (understandable) but also have lots of 1-tick insta kill mechanics all over the raid, essentially turning it into awakened-tier difficulty content. I don’t think that is going to make for a very successful hard mode personally. Hard mode ToB is ToB but with new mechanics that require coordination and punish mistakes via small damage and added difficulty moving forward, not necessarily just taking a huge hit. Mod Arcane on a recent podcast talked about how he personally isn’t sure whether he thinks hard mode TFA should even be designed to be grinded, thinking it more a one-time achievement content or content that could be grinded by the elite who want to, but otherwise just be a checkbox for those that want to complete it, get the hard mode kits with extremely generous rates, and move on. Which would you rather see? Should it be the meta for purps? Should it be awakened-tier difficulty and only require 1 KC for Obligator kits? Or should it be more like HMT where it is reasonable to grind with a few more added mechanics and a requirement of all rooms? submitted by /u/Shot_Cancel8641
