For context I have been with my boyfriend for 4 and a half years. Our sex life was great until I got pregnant with our first baby. Then I got pregnant again . Obviously we were overjoyed but it was a drastic shift for him more so than for me. We really struggled after my first pregnancy but had a lot of talks, he felt very rejected at first but I just explained that I do want him but my body felt like it was physically rejecting him. I really tried for him , then my second pregnancy came and this time he was way less insecure. He knew at this point that it was just my body and hormones making me enjoy sex less and want it less. During that time we went months without sexual intimacy. We are very affectionate in other ways too but I always see stories of men leaving their partners because their libidos didn’t match up. Fast forward to now, we don’t have sex like we used to before kids but I do make an effort. My body is also healed and sex is enjoyable again for me but my libido is definitely still a lot lower than his. Every night we have a ritual we call “adult time” so after we put the kids to bed we spend a few hours together doing whatever like smoking weed, maybe a drink to unwind, watching a show or movie, playing video games and sex! It’s just 2-3 hours where we can just be a couple again. Adult time for us doesn’t always end up with sex but id like to say we are intimate 2-3 times a week. I feel like we are both content with that but I’m not sure. I know he loves me but I just want him to be happy. Sex isn’t as exciting and unpredictable like it used to be but I love him and I’m happy with it. Sometimes I worry he tries to be nice and spare my feelings though. We are just a young couple trying to balance parenthood and our relationship so I hope I could get some advice. submitted by /u/morelloyello
