Sooo this is coming from a slightly insecure place but I’m genuinely curious about how this works psychologically for men. If you’re dating someone you genuinely like and she has close friends who are also very attractive, intelligent, successful, etc., what actually goes through your mind when you’re around them? Do you subconsciously compare think what if or when you’re into someone does your brain just kind of lock in on her? ESPECIALLY in the initial stages I’m seeing someone I think is brilliant, and sometimes I get this gross, annoying nagging thought that when he starts meeting my friends, who I personally find very beautiful and impressive, he might internally think he chose the “less impressive” one… He hasn’t done anything to make me feel that way but I’m just trying to understand how guys think about this submitted by /u/Competitive_Sugar962
