I’m a 21 year old guy. I’ve always been attracted to guys. I’ve always self-identified as gay (despite not necessarily advertising it to others). I have masculine interests, and present masculine-leaning, because of this I’ve had some girls crush on me. Growing up I enjoyed the attention. I was never interested in any of the girls who were into me but I always felt like I should be interested. This created a pretty complicated thing for me. Where I romantize, and enjoy the idea of courting women. Flirting, and entertaining the idea of being with them. They always know I’m gay beforehand, but this somehow has the opposite effect, where these women believe they can change me. Recently I tried sleeping with a girl for the first time (all the way). It wasn’t disgusting, it wasn’t bad, it was just nothing. Like I didn’t feel a single thing. I couldn’t even distinguish the kissing. Somehow, I had believed kissing a woman would feel different but in the end, it felt the same as kissing a dude. The only difference being that I always want more with the dudes I make out with. Here, I was just going through the motions. It’s really confusing to enjoy the idea of being with women, being open to trying it, experiencing curiosities towards it and then having this happen. I’m wondering if it was just her. Surely, straight and bisexual men sometimes hook up with women and feel underwhelmed? submitted by /u/Excellent-Park-3348
