I’m autistic myself, although I never really cared about making friends myself personally. I’ve had friends here and there throughout the years. However, I’ve interacted with a few autistic men (mostly online, but a few times in real life) who very much desire friendship, and they are struggling to make friends and connections. It’s very sad to see, as these guys are really struggling to make friends and relationships.
