I’ve been seeing more and more of this “looksmaxxing” stuff online. Sites like looksmaxx.org (and the bigger ones like looksmax.org) are full of guys rating faces, talking about mewing, canthal tilt, jaw surgery, steroids, etc. The whole vibe is basically “maximize your looks at all costs.” What stood out to me is how young a lot of the people pushing it seem to be - a lot of the content and the loudest voices look like teenagers or early 20s kids who are deep into this stuff. Curious what other guys think: Do you see any actual value in it, or is it mostly insecurity fuel? Have any of you spent time in those communities? What’s the reality vs the hype? Does the fact that so many of the people hyping it are still kids change how you view the whole thing? Just looking for honest takes from men who aren’t already in the community. I tackle adversity differently, I’m 30 years old & I have worked on what is within my control to handle, what I can’t change I try to liberate by overcoming my insecurities through courage. Seems like this community advocates for the opposite of men liberation & fixates on unachievable goals which ultimately makes you wonder how this is impacting the mindset for the next generation?
