I’m old enough to remember when the term 'metrosexual ’ came about, and that term I can understand - shedding the perceived slovenly and careless nature of the classic man aesthetic and getting your shit tight; I’m all for it. I’m talking about those guys, the Tates, the Fresh’s and Fit’s, the insecure lads in your workplace or out at the bar that are trying really hard to cover up some past trauma with the flexing and the obnoxiousness, you know the types. My question is, why are the worst offenders in this category often the ones who adopt the -admittedly reductive - style and mannerisms (no shade, no hate) of our brothers of a more flamboyant persuasion? I guess this can also be extended to a why question. vh M submitted by /u/donthagme6669
