M32 (Indian). Just a small rant/vent. I’ve been single my entire life. Had a few one-sided crushes during my school and college days, but gradually lost interest in chasing someone in my mid-20s. Ever since, I haven’t really had a crush on anyone. Most of my friends are now married, have kids and are living their lives. I’ve even lost interest in scrolling through Instagram because the constant feeling of being the odd one out is getting to me. I spent the last two months in India on vacation, and honestly, the only love and affection I feel I receive these days is from my parents. I’m back at work now, alone, recovering from the flu, feeling physically weak and longing for some comfort, companionship and warmth. I’m slowly coming to terms with the possibility that I may never experience a relationship, and surprisingly, I’m not as afraid of that possibility anymore. But sometimes, I can’t help wondering: What have I done wrong in life to end up in this situation? Men in your 30s, is anyone else in the same boat? How are you dealing with loneliness and the possibility of remaining single for life? P.S. No hate or judgement, please. I’m just looking for genuine perspectives and shared experiences from people in the same boat. submitted by /u/thondubwoy
