Had a little experiment idea, so i used pretty much the same prompt for both. The results were kinda interesting. DeepSeek V4.1 Flash It made a distinction between the next V4.1-Pro release and the actual next generation, V5. For V5, it predicted more unified multimodal capabilities, adaptive thinking, and persistent memory across sessions. Its guess was Q1-Q2 2027. The response was pretty long and detailed, mostly text. I did ask for a visual timeline, and it included a couple of charts but not as quite as visual as I expected lol. Hy3 Hy3 focused more on release timing. It looked at how long it took Hy3 to go from Preview to Stable and used that as a reference to estimate when Hy4 Stable might arrive. Also, it predicted better long-term memory, stronger agent capabilities, more multimodal features, and maybe even a Lite version. Its guess was late October to mid-November 2026. One thing I liked was the format. It actually generated a full HTML report with a timeline, version comparison tables, and its predictions A few things I noticed Both mentioned memory and agent capabilities, which makes sense given where AI is heading. But their approaches were pretty different. Ds looked more at architecture changes and technical signals, while Hy leaned on release patterns and recent product updates. They’re not quite predicting the same thing tho. Hy is predicting the stable release of an existing preview, while Ds is looking further ahead to V5. Ofc neither of them has some secret roadmap access lol. Just wanted to see how far they could get with public info. submitted by /u/lucky-adventurer-
