I’ve been going through Google Trends data on AI and jobs. For most jobs, searches looking for AI tools for that job far outnumber searches worrying about being replaced by it. Teachers: about 28 to 1 Nurses: about 40 to 1 Writers: about 42 to 1 Translators: about 44 to 1 The lowest is programmers at 2.6 to 1, probably because they search “AI for coding” rather than “AI for programmers”. One caveat: “AI for customer service” is mostly businesses shopping for tools, so not every AI-for search is a worker. Does that match what you see around you?
