Genuine question: how does people in your organisation behave when it comes to agentic coding? I keep seeing the same pattern. The official line is “AI is just an assistant, humans are still better.” But most of the people saying that have only used M365 Copilot: summarising emails, drafting docs, asking it questions in Teams. That’s a completely different thing from proper agentic coding. Think Claude Code with Opus 5.5 building a feature end to end, then Codex reviewing it adversarially and trying to break it, with the two going back and forth before a human makes the final call. Once you’ve seen that work, “it’s not as good as a human” is a hard line to keep up for a lot of tasks. So I’m curious:

  1. Have you seen this at your workplace too? Does your org give engineers real agentic tools (Claude Code, Codex, etc.), or just Copilot? Are people open about how much an agent writes, or does it stay under the radar? Or am I wrong, and the scepticism is justified? Would love to hear what it’s like where you work. submitted by /u/KookyOky
