I’m not a programmer. I play tabletop RPGs with my friends using Foundry VTT, a virtual tabletop where you can install different game systems. The system I’ve been using for almost 3 years is outdated and has compatibility issues with some add-ons I like. So I used Claude Code to build my own version from scratch, with custom character sheets, vehicle mechanics, and features I always wanted. I was pretty happy with it, so I shared a few screenshots on Reddit ( r/cyberpunkred ) asking what features people would like to see. Apparently, that was a mistake. lol Instead of suggestions, I got people questioning why I didn’t contribute to the existing open-source project, ACCUSING me of stealing code with AI, and basically acting like I had NO right to make an alternative. I didn’t even know their GitLab repository existed until today. I’m just a guy who wanted to make something cool for his friends. I haven’t even released anything yet, and somehow I’m already being accused of plagiarism. Has anyone else experienced this kind of hostility when sharing something made with Claude Code? And seriously, how do you deal with people who automatically assume AI-assisted means stolen? submitted by /u/pablojuega
