I know most people who use claude won’t agree with me, but it has me captive, like if i stop using claude i stop making software. Everything i’ve made in the past half month has been at least 50% vibe coded, granted i haven’t tried to make money off of it. I have been using claude code a lot, i made a cartdridge system for spotify that works in steamvr, made a voice assistant, made tools to speed up everything that i do, it helped me fix bugs in my website, and all of that is a bunch of mediocre software. Claude code was fun at first, but now i just don’t want to code, i know i’ll hit the same result with an ai in a tiny fraction of the time. But in reality? i hate it, i hate claude code, and now im wishing i never started using it. I used to love learning new things in coding, writing apps, learning how to use a new library, etc. but now i get none of that, I just get the end result, and its sad. I know I’ll never have a job without this tool either. Essentially, I lost all interest in using claude, and the concerns around ai online are catching up to me and i really don’t like the tool anymore, but i had a lot of fun using it. anyone else feel this way? submitted by /u/ControllerEater
