We are planning to move out of our flat and are looking for a nachmieter, but need advices on how to not give money to Swiss Marketplace Group. Last time we were in the same situation was few years ago and we were able to post an ad online, get tens of responses in few hours and turn it off. Now we are instead fighting with terrible online services all asking for ridicolous amount of money for posting and promoting ads. On top they all provide a buggy user experience and from what I can see, general dissatisfaction for all party involved. Homegate has 48 hours opaque review periods for free posting, alternatively asks for (a lot of) money to promote the add. Flatfox used to be the nice exception in the past but now seems to be suffering from the same dark patterns as the other with the free tier that hides your ad to people for like 1 week. Immoscout is gated beyond paying a posting fee. I was surprised of the state of things and found out that all of them belong to the same company: Swiss Marketplace Group, so playbook enshittification. How are people counteracting this? Is there any decent alternative where private people are advertising and finding flats? submitted by /u/MustardOnion
