I used AI for code a while back and it wasn’t great. I started using it again this week and it’s improved so much I don’t understand how a model getting smarter alone makes it better at these complicated long tasks. It seems to me like the work has gone into coordination of the models? Like the toolset available to the models now for coding is huge. They have workspaces and can make tool calls. They seem to iterate on solutions. Is this because of the harness design getting better? Is the harness actually coordinating multiple instances of the models behind the scenes? Does another ai decide the answer is good enough when working on complicated tasks like programming on a large code base? I figure that a lot of these companies aren’t giving out their secrets, but if anyone has learning information or links on this topic please let me know. submitted by /u/Naive-Wallaby837
