Jagex, in all of their wisdom while making a team-oriented raid, decided to reward the DPS role more than anyone else actually doing the mechanics of the raid. Chosen as the tank at bork so you have to brew? Nice DPS loss idiot -Contribution points. Want to bring freezes for Xarth? Nice DPS loss idiot -Contribution points. Want to bring Standard Spellbook for Ezekiel or Dagon’Hai? Nice DPS loss idiot -Contribution points. Want to bring a Scobo spec for Jelly to protect your team? Nice DPS loss idiot -Contribution points. Want to bring defence lowering spec weapons and not a ZCB? Nice DPS loss idiot -Contribution points. Any FFA raid now is a competition between players to see who can screw over the others the most for the highest purple chance possible. How is it that any altruistic action that contributes to your teammates doing better in a raid gets punished over just selfishly doing as much damage as you personally can? This was so short sighted by Jagex, how did they not learn from ToB that this would happen? submitted by /u/Froggmann5
